Who we are.
We're a young team — many years deep in IT, raised on the internet, with a love for hospitality.
It started with a request for the manual of a POS older than most of our team. At the next restaurant we built our own ordering and delivery system — stable, fresh, fitting the business.
That made it clear: the gap is real. So we founded ByteServ.
Today we're a team of four engineers. Small enough to stay nimble. Big enough to deliver the service our customers need — in person on weekdays, and through our emergency hotline on weekends and holidays.

From €39.80 a month (excl. VAT, with a Shift4 card acceptance contract). That rents you the posmatic MinOne with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, built-in receipt printer and card terminal, with 3 years of TSE included. The larger MaxOne with a 15.6-inch display starts at €49.80. Rather buy than rent? Then the software costs from €19.99 a month. The ByteSTART packages come with no setup fee.

That mainly depends on your turnover and typical bill size. Together with our payment partners, we find the plan that fits your business, including options with no monthly fee and a free terminal. You don't need a new POS for it, and if you like, we'll check whether we can offer you card acceptance on your existing terminal. Payouts usually arrive within one business day.

POS for delivery servicesDo I need a TSE, and is it included?
Yes, and yes. Since 2020, every electronic cash register in Germany has to secure its transactions with a certified technical security device (TSE), as required by § 146a AO and the KassenSichV. Our posmatic packages include the TSE for 3 years plus data backup for GoBD-compliant record keeping. Software updates, including those for legal changes, come at no extra cost.

Yes. Our office is on Maxstraße in Bonn, and we look after businesses in Bonn, Cologne and the surrounding area. Depending on the problem, we help by phone, by remote access or on site. On weekdays you reach us in person; on weekends and public holidays, through our emergency hotline. You won't end up in a ticket system; you talk directly to one of our four technicians.
Our POS systemsWhat does the planned cash register mandate mean for my business?
On 23 September 2026, the German cabinet approved a draft law: businesses with more than €100,000 in annual turnover would need an electronic register with a TSE from 1 January 2028. Businesses with no more than €12,000 in cash sales a year are exempt. A digital receipt, for example via QR code, would replace the paper one, though customers who explicitly ask for paper still get one. The Bundestag and Bundesrat still have to approve it. Our posmatic registers already support both a TSE and digital receipts.
The 2028 mandate in detailDo I have to take everything from you?
No. POS, card payments and ordering also work on their own, and we check for free whether they work with your existing system. If your register still runs without a certified TSE, though, you need to upgrade or switch anyway: the transition period for older devices ended in late 2022.
