From January 2027, businesses with more than €100,000 in annual revenue are set to be required to use a tamper-proof electronic register — with fines of up to €25,000 for non-compliance. At the same time, the receipt mandate is being relaxed: receipts will go digital instead of paper. Our posmatic registers already do exactly that today — digital receipts via QR code included.
